Remote Lab

Remote Lab: collaborate to scale up gene editing

Hello iGEM communitee,

This year, our teams iGEM Marburg and iGEM Paris Bettencourt are working on providing access to a high throughput sequencing platform. This will be the first step to start the concept of the Remote Rab accessible for all the iGEM teams! Imagine a platform where you can have access to dozaines of gene assemblies and receive the plasmid in only a few days. This might be possible thanks to your collaboration. Help us defining the scope and the needs of this project. We deeply believe that this system could benefit generations of iGEMers to create even more usefull constructs.
1.What type of gene assembly method are you using to build your plasmids ?
2.How many plasmids do you plan to assemble ?
3.The Echo is a machine that produces faster and more accurate results than traditional pipetting methods by automatising the process. have you heard about the Echo liquid handler before ?
4.Do you have access to labcyte Echo machine ?
5.Using the Echo liquid handler, you can run a high throughput Golden Gate protocol and therefore assemble up to 96 plasmids on a single plate. Would you be interested to perform such high trhoughput Golden Gate ?
