1. Points to consider for the development, evaluation and implementation of mobile health applications.

You are invited to participate in a research project entitled ‘ EULAR Points to consider for the development, evaluation and implementation of mobile health applications (apps) for self-management in patients with rheumatic diseases’.

This project is being led by Professor Francis Berenbaum from Saint-Antoine Hospital, Paris, France; and Doctor Aurélie Najm from the University Hospital of Nantes, France, with the support of a team of European researchers and patient research partners. 

The purpose of this research project is to understand patients’ views and perception about self-management apps in musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases through an online survey, which will take you approximately 5 minutes to complete.

You will be asked to answer questions about your current use of mobile health apps for self-management of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases, your willingness of using such apps and your preferences in developing or modifying future self-management apps.Your participation in this project is entirely voluntary, and you are free to exit the survey at any point. However, once you have submitted your response, you won’t be able to withdraw from participating in the project.We believe there are no known risks associated with this research project; however, as with any online-related activity on the internet, the risk of a breach is always possible.
However, to the best of our ability, your participation in this project will remain confidential, and only anonymised data will be published. We will minimise any risks by anonymising all data, make sure the data are stored in a secured manner.
