The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the African Union Youth Envoy are undertaking a publication to take stock of youth-led initiatives, innovations and networks in Africa.  The publication will serve as an advocacy document intended for decision-makers, development partners, donors and will capture critical contributions of young people that have advanced the HIV response on the continent.   Criteria for the inclusion of initiatives are that they are:

1. youth-led and youth-focused
2. youth are meaningfully engaged in the design, implementation, and monitoring of activities
3. proven to be effective game-changers in empowering adolescents and young people in reducing vulnerability to HIV infections in Africa
currently active
4. able to bring together multiple partners from different sectors
cover one or several countries in Africa

To ensure that less known successful HIV initiatives are profiled in the publication, we would like you to share the names and details of relevant organisations and networks through participation in this online survey.   Please note that since the publication will be of limited length, it will not be possible to include detailed descriptions of all initiatives.  However, a database of youth-led HIV initiatives from the continent will be developed based on the responses from this on-line survey.

The survey will take only 5 minutes to complete, participation is optional and if you have any questions relating to this survey please contact  Renay Weiner (renay@rthd.org) and Rewan Youssif (rewan.youssif@gmail.com)  By submitting this form you are indicating that you have read the description of the on-line survey, are over the age of 18 and agree to participate in the survey.   In respect of the confidentiality, information collected from the online survey will be stored in UNAIDS and Office of the Youth Envoy databases and initiatives that have not been selected to feature in the final publication will not be publicized.
