Description of the side event
FAO and CIRAD are organising a side-event at the upcoming FAO Science and Innovation Forum to share and discuss preliminary results of the process they are leading for the co-designing of a Global foresight framework to support the transformation of extension and advisory systems (EAS) in view of food systems of the future.
The Framework particularly includes global EAS scenarios meant to guide EAS actors to think beyond business-as-usual trends, explore alternatives and integrate global drivers that they would not have considered otherwise into their national strategy. The side-event aims to: (i) present features of the Framework and (ii) shape up the global EAS scenarios. It will include presentations, panel discussion and interactions with participants.
