Le conseil d’arrondissement de Lachine souhaite vous consulter quant à l’usage des abris d’auto temporaires*, et ce, sur l’ensemble du territoire de l’arrondissement. Actuellement, un ancien règlement en permet l’usage dans le quartier Saint-Pierre seulement. Ce sondage a donc comme objectif de mesurer l’intérêt général pour ce genre d’équipement, lequel, le cas échéant, serait adéquatement encadré par une réglementation appropriée (sécurité, types d’équipement, etc.).
* Un abri pour auto temporaire consiste en une structure métallique démontable, recouverte d'une toile translucide destinée à abriter un ou plusieurs véhicules automobile, avec une période d’installation et d’utilisation limitée, (ex : 1er novembre au 15 avril). La structure métallique est interdite en dehors de cette période et doit être démontée.

The Borough of Lachine would like your opinion on the use of temporary car shelters* throughout Borough territory. At the present time, a former bylaw allows these shelters to be used only in the Saint-Pierre district. The purpose of this survey is to evaluate general interest in this type of structure which, if allowed, would be properly controlled by appropriate regulations on safety, types of structure, etc.
*A temporary car shelter is a removable metallic structure, with a see-through cover, designed to shelter one or more motor vehicles on the condition of a limited period of installation and use (for example, November 1 – April 15). The metallic structure would be prohibited outside this period and would have to be dismantled.
