1. Introduction and Purpose of the Study
Biangg Healthcare Consulting is a research firm whose mission is to Promote Health through Community Engagement, Research, and Education. We ask that you participate in a research study. Before you decide to participate in this study, it is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please read the following information carefully.
Please ask the researchers if there is anything that is unclear or if you need more information. The aim of this study is to identify the profile and reasons for the problem of sexual harassment in schools in Rwanda
2. Description of the research
When you participate in the study, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire. This questionnaire (31 questions) will take an average of 8 minutes to complete. You will not be asked any personal questions such as your name, phone number, or where you live. This study will allow us to make recommendations to create a fulfilling learning climate for students in Rwanda.
3.Participation
We estimate that 1000 participants will enroll in this study. Participants must be university students presently enrolled in higher academic institutions in Rwanda
4. Potential risks and discomforts
There are "no known risks" for this study. You can stop participating at any time and none of your information will be retained.
5. Potential Benefits
Individuals who participate in this study can gain a better understanding of the problem of sexual harassment in schools and contribute directly to improving the learning conditions of future generations. Through your participation, you will contribute to improving the physical, psychological and overall well-being of students in Rwanda.
6. Confidentiality
Your responses are completely anonymous. No personally identifiable information or IP addresses will be collected. All information from the study will be coded to protect participants. No names or other identifying information will be used when studying or reporting data. The investigator(s) will securely store all collected files and data in a secure locked cabinet in the lead investigators' office. Once the data has been fully analyzed, it will be destroyed.
7. Withdrawal of the study and/or withdrawal of permission
If you decide to participate in this study, you may withdraw at any time without penalty.
8. Voluntary Participation and Authorization
I have read and understand the information provided. I understand that my participation is voluntary and that I am free to withdraw at any time.
