Welcome to the ISO 59000 Circular Economy Survey!

Your input in this questionnaire will play a vital role in shaping the future of the Circular Economy standards (ISO 59004, ISO 59010, ISO 59020) as they prepare for their upcoming revision. These standards are essential in guiding organizations toward circular business models, helping to preserve our planet’s finite resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect biodiversity, combat waste, and regenerate ecosystems.

To ensure these standards make a real impact, we want to ensure that they are clear and easily understood for effective implementation. In addition, we would like to gather feedback from practitioners in the field (case studies, practices, etc.). Your insights are key to achieving this goal.

“an economic system that uses a systemic approach to maintain a circular flow of resources by recovering, retaining, or enhancing their value, while contributing to sustainable development.”
Note 1: Resources can be considered concerning both stocks and flows.
Note 2: The inflow of virgin resources is kept as low as possible, and the circular flow of resources is kept as closed as possible to minimize waste, losses and releases from the economic system”.
