The Iris Festival celebrates the Brussels-Capital Region.

The weekend of 5 and 6 May 2018, this large celebration with gather the people of Brussels at the heart of their region and will invite visitors to join them, free of charge, in celebration.
Evening concerts will take place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May, on Place des Palais. During the afternoon of Sunday 6 May, this artistic and popular cultural event, will offer the people of Brussels an opportunity to come together and celebrate their region, in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, as they discover the wide range of activities a region like Brussels has to offer.

For the occasion, the government of the Brussels-Capital Region aims to offer a showcase to all actors of Brussels’ cultural scene, both association and art-related.
This call for proposals deals with the association and cultural aspect of “Party in the Park” and is aimed at Brussels’ associations and cultural organisations.
This aspect will take place on Sunday 6 May, from 12:00 to 18:00.
Party in the Park brings together a series of cultural activities and entertainment that will take place outdoors during the day in Brussels Park.

All themes are welcome (sport, culture, associations, heritage, history, etc.).
The projects, associations or cultural actors bidding must offer the Iris Festival public a free, interactive and/or fun activity that is linked to their field. No handing out of flyers will be accepted.

Your participation in The Iris Festival is free and not remunerated.

A 9m² space and a furniture kit is provided for you, free of charge*.
* Your participation is subject to the signing of an agreement to respect the equipment that is put at your disposal by the organisers. Use of the equipment does not entail any cost for you, except in cases of breakage, loss or damage.

Requests for extra equipment can be made, but these requests will be analysed according to their pertinence in relation to the activities offered, as well as in relation to the general availability of the equipment.

Bids are expected to be submitted before 26 January 2018.
Please fill in the following form in as much detail as possible, providing as much information as you can.
The successful applications will be informed of their selection by 15 February 2018 at the latest.

Sending your application in reply to this call for proposals does not guarantee your participation in the event. The Iris Festival scheduling team will choose the most original, pertinent, attractive and interactive projects, and will try to schedule as many different themes and cultural participants as possible.
