Dear colleagues,

We would like to assess whether the recent COVID-19 pandemia and the confinement measures had an impact on the number of hospitalizations in high-risk maternities and therefore in neonatal intensive and non-intensive care units.

We have the impression of a lower rate of hospitalization in NICUs. The goal of this survey is to verify our perception. If true, it would be important to determine which categories of newborns are affected, and whether it is a decline in overall neonatal hospitalization or a redistribution between Intensive and medium care neonatal units.

The results of this survey could be the object of a collective communication in the COVID section of an upcoming international conference such as EAPS (deadline for abstract: May 18) or UENPS. More importantly, it would be the basis for a broader collective epidemiological study addressing impact of pregnancy management with the aim at influencing subsequent political choices in term of public health and reorganization of work for pregnant women.

Would you agree to complete the following survey within the first week of May (deadline May 13, 2020)?
If there is NIC and n* units in your hospital, please complete 2 surveys.

We thank you in advance for your participation and we will keep you updated with the results and the possible abstract submission as a collaborative group.
